The IRS has established new regulations regarding 403(b) plans (tax sheltered annuities). All school districts must be in compliance with the new regulations by January 1, 2009. The new regulations require each school district to ensure that loans, hardship withdrawals, transfers and contribution levels are in compliance with the IRS standards.
