SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is the agency that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation and to improve the lives of individuals living with mental and substance-use disorders and their families. It provides a national helpline named the Disaster Distress Helpline that provides 24 hours a day, 7 days a week crisis counseling for those experiencing distress related to any natural or human-caused disaster.
