We are committed to offering the staff of the Hamilton School District a number of PD opportunities on a variety of topics. Below you will find information on the various workshops and professional development opportunities that we offer throughout the year.

Tackling Technology

Tackling Technology are recurring workshops, covering variety of different tech related topics. These workshops are offered to you by the Technology Facilitators of Hamilton Township Public Schools. Workshops will cover topics such as Google Apps for Education, creating a Teacher Site, enhancing your lessons with digital media, utilizing social media, and much more. We hope to see you there!!!

Tackling Technology Online

Can't make the in person workshops at Park Ave? Join the Tech Facilitators online for a 4 week course focusing on basic to intermediate use of 4 Google Applications and their classroom implementation. This course will include self-guided videos, resources, and ideas for student activities K-12. We will host group discussions to spark collaboration and brainstorming between teachers across the district. To earn your PD hours a skills assessment and assignment for each topic must be completed by the end of the 4 week course.

EdTech Lunch & Learn LIVE

EdTech Lunch & Learn LIVE is a weekly Youtube Broadcast hosted by the Instructional Technology Facilitators of the Hamilton Township School District in Mercer County, New Jersey. Each week the facilitators, Cara, Chris, and Joe, will discuss new edtech topics, share quick How To’s, and introduce new edtech tools you can use in the classroom. Shows last fifteen minute and will run at 11am and 12pm every Thursday. If you’re lunching, why not do a little learning? We hope you can join us. 

All episodes will be recorded and posted on our YouTube channel the following day. 

EdTech Lunch & Learn LIVE

Google for Education Bootcamp 

This bootcamp style training is designed to prepare participants for the official Google Educator Level 1 exam, During this three day bootcamp we’ll explore practical uses for the Google tools, and topics that’ll include all of the G-Suite Apps that are on the exam including Chrome, Gmail, Drive (docs, sheets, slides, forms), Calendar, Sites, YouTube, Classroom, and more.. For Educators who have learned the fundamentals of using Google tools in the classroom, the Level 1 certification validates standard technology implementation skills.
