We’ll collect your gently-used eclipse glasses right here at school! Why? Astronomers Without Borders are on a mission to safely share the wonders of space with everyone around the globe. Your gently used eclipse glasses will be recycled and distributed around the world to students who wouldn’t otherwise have a chance to safely view a solar eclipse. Look for a collection box in the Main Office to drip off your clean, undamaged eclipse glasses. All donations will be sent to Astronomers Without Borders to help spread the love of space exploration worldwide. Donations will be collected until Friday, April 19th. Please see Mrs. Eichhorn in Room D-1 or Mrs. Fisher in Room C-10 for more information.

      • Eclipse Enthusiasts: Calling all eclipse enthusiasts – Did you catch a glimpse of the recent solar eclipse? Don’t want to keep your glasses until the next solar eclipse in 2044? We’ll collect your gently-used eclipse glasses right here at school! Why? Astronomers Without Borders are on a mission to safely share the wonders of space with everyone around the globe. Your gently used eclipse glasses will be recycled and distributed around the world to students who wouldn’t otherwise have a chance to safely view a solar eclipse. Look for a collection box in the Main Office to drip off your clean, undamaged eclipse glasses. All donations will be sent to Astronomers Without Borders to help spread the love of space exploration worldwide. Donations will be collected until Friday, April 19th. On Thursday each home base teacher will receive a “Unity Coupon” for one student who displays the most school unity in their home base. Students who receive a “Unity Coupon” will be able to redeem the coupon at the chip cart for a free bag of chips.
      • Cookies for a Cause – Today will be our monthly Cookies for a Cause Sale. This month’s proceeds will support the Renaissance Program. Cookies will cost $1.00 per package.
      • Nottingham Color Guard Auditions: Attention 8th graders – Are you going to Nottingham next year and interested in dance and performing arts? Join the Nottingham ColorGuard! Learn how to use flags, rifles, dance and more! And, we go to Disney! There will be a workshop and auditions from May 13th – May 17th from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the Old Gym at Nottingham High School. Come by after school.
      • Remote Course Recovery: The Remote Course Recovery Program will be in-person on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and remote on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
      • Pokemon Club: Due to testing, there is no club meeting today. Please take your normal transportation home. We will resume club meetings once testing is over.
      • Student Council: There will be no morning Student Council meetings.
      • 2024 Yearbooks – Yearbooks are now on sale for the price of $25 or check to Grice Middle School. Please put your money in an envelope with your name.       • Band: The Jazz and Wind Ensemble Concert will take place tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Crockett Middle School as part of the HTSD Tech Night. Students who are performing in the concert need to pick up their instruments from Room A-106 before they leave the building and should be at Crockett at 6:00 p.m. Please come out to see the exhibits at Tech Night and stay for our big performance!
