Welcome to 7th grade Math!!!!!

I am very excited about starting a new year with your children.  I have been teaching for 22 years and hold a Master's Degree in Education. 

Each of your children is different and brings differences to the classroom.  My classroom should be their safe place; a place where they are comfortable being who they are so they can learn and grow.  My job is to be their leader and to guide them.  My hope for our school year is that not only do I want them to master the content, but I also want them to grow as individuals.  My hope is that they learn determination, grit, fortitude and perseverance, so when challenging situations arise they have the tools they need to handle them.  Having these skills will help them in all areas of their lives.

We will be covering many topics this year which include proportional relationships, rational number operations,

equations, expressions, inequalities and geometry.

It is very important that you join the Google classroom.  Google classroom is the place where you will find copies of the work that we did in class that day as well as any announcements I may have for the class.

Summative Grades--50%

Formative Grades--40%

Independent Practice Grades--10%
