Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!
I teach 6th and 8th grade Phys Ed and 7th and 8th grade Health. This is my sixth year teaching, as well as my fifth year coaching field hockey at Hamilton West and my fifth year coaching softball at Nottingham. I am looking forward to meeting and seeing you all very soon!!

Health Course Description: In this class, students will learn to use many skills to help them make healthy decisions, while maintaining or improving their current health status. The goal of this course is for students to develop the skills necessary to live healthy, active lives, and to empower students to use the skills they have gained to make informed decisions that will enhance the quality of their personal, family, and community life.

PE Course Description: Students will participate in a variety of sports and life-long fitness activites. Our outside units consist of Softball, Football, Soccer, Track & Field, Cross-Country, Outside Games and Recreational Games. Our inside units will be Basketball, Volleyball, Floor Hockey, Circuit Training, Dance, Fitness and Indoor Games.Physical Education We will concentrate on giving the students a positive experience, benefiting their overall health and wellness and promoting lifelong activity and exercise skills.

7th Grade Health Curriculum: Body Systems, Alcohol and Drug Addition/Dependency, Substance Awareness, Mental and Emotional Well Being (Mental Health Disorders and Suicide), Life Cycle, Relationships 

8th Grade Health Curriculum: Basic First Aid, Disease Prevention (Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases), Nutrition and Fitness, Weight Management, Human Sexuality, CampFire Program- provided by “Strive to Thrive” (NJ Non-Profit Program)

Sneakers and athletic clothes ARE REQUIRED for physical education class every day! We will be changing in the locker rooms this year.
