Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Evert

Welcome! This year is my 7th year as an educator with Hamilton Township School District and my 6th year as a Special Education ELA teacher at Reynolds Middle School. In 2007, I graduated from Monmouth University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and English.  Upon graduating, I quickly decided to return to school and in 2017 I earned my Master’s Degree as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (Special Education).

Each individual is unique and has their own ways of learning and understanding. My classroom will be a place of acceptance and understanding, where children will be able to reach their maximum potential while enjoying the journey. My hope is that all students will develop a love of reading by analyzing different novels and a variety of short stories, as well as poetry, while also developing a love for writing through the use of journal prompts and explorations of explanatory, comparative, narrative, and research writings. My classroom will be a place of acceptance and understanding where children grow both in mind and spirit.

Communication is an integral part of every school year. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I will be using a variety of different platforms to present lessons, and assess student  knowledge.  Please check my website, Google Classroom, email, and Powerschool often. Let's make this the best year yet!
